This year marks the 80th anniversary of RC Show and the event organizers are pulling out all the stops.

“The fact that the show is celebrating eight decades speaks to the relevance and endurance of this industry gathering,” says Tracy Macgregor, Chief Operating Officer for Restaurants Canada.

FUEL is the theme behind this year’s show, happening April 7 to 9 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, and it’s expected to attract more than 23,000 industry professionals. “Everything at the show is built around innovation, education, empowerment, inspiration, and connections,” says Macgregor.

There will be a wealth of opportunities for attendees to learn and network, check out the latest in product innovation, and explore emerging trends that will drive foodservice industry success. Visitors can walk the show floor to meet more than 1,200 exhibitors, visit dedicated pavilions, attend keynote sessions, and take part in hands-on workshops and immersive networking events.

Live competitions, including the Garland Canada Culinary Competition, Restaurants Canada Pizza Competition, Beyond the Rail Cocktail Competition and John Bil Oyster Shucking Competition, continue to be popular features and, this year, the newly introduced Breakfast Sandwich Competition will also be highlighted.

The Speaker and Culinary stages will feature in-depth fireside chats and demonstrations with trailblazers and industry and culinary icons. In an exclusive keynote session, Chef José Andrés, the globally celebrated chef, humanitarian and founder of World Central Kitchen (WCK), will sit down with Kelly Higginson, President and CEO of Restaurants Canada, to share his insights into the resilience of the foodservice industry and how to continue inspiring professionals to lead with purpose and thrive in an era of rapid transformation.

Cultural storyteller and viral content creator Chef Tuệ Nguyễn — better known as @TwayDaBae — will share her signature warmth and expertise during a Culinary Stage demo alongside knife-skills master Chef Wallace Wong and then sit down for a fireside chat with Trevor Lui on the Speaker Stage. Global cocktail personality and bar entrepreneur, Shingo Gokan, will deliver the Bar and Beverage Stage keynote, and join the panel of judges for the Beyond the Rail Cocktail Competition.

Show attendees are also invited to visit StudioEx, the central hub for interactive workshops and presentations dedicated to providing insights and strategies for growing and sustaining a business. “There will be conversations around ever-changing consumers and cultures, food dynamics, technology, reducing costs, and responding to changing consumer tastes and demands,” says Macgregor. “Attendees can also learn more about the movement toward conscious kitchens, local food collaborations, and the social chef revolution.”

Restaurants are a $120-billion industry employing nearly 1.2 million Canadians and Macgregor emphasizes that RC Show 2025 is not just about discovering new trends and ideas, “It is also a celebration of Canada’s dynamic and diverse foodservice industry.”
