MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association (ORHMA) hosted its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 20 at the Woodbine Entertainment Centre where members of ORHMA, Board of Directors and staff gathered to discuss industry issues. ORHMA presented the 2024/2025 Provincial Board of Directors and announced the re-appointment of Chairman of the Board, Jorge Soares, VP, Stakeholder Relations at Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG).
New members of the board include:

- Brad MacLellan, GM, Cambridge Hotel & Conference Centre
- Doug Hayes, SVP, Sandman Hotel Group
- Mark Sozanski, COO, Montana’s BBQ & Bar, Recipe Unlimited
- Peter Lewis, GM, Homewood Suites by Hilton
- Thomas Jacob, managing director, K2 Group
- Yannis Paravalos, GM, The Park Hotel London
During the AGM, ORHMA president and CEO, Tony Elenis, shared the past and future initiatives on the industry transformation in terms of people and technology; an update on the Ontario Hospitality Conference and OHI Hall of Fame Awards; a new initiative with Canadian hotel associations to combat human trafficking; new member programs and more.
